I feel so lucky to have met Lona + Doug! They are one of the nicest couples I have had the pleasure of getting to know. Seeing their family come together the way it has is such a blessing to experience.
We started our morning at the First Methodist Church in Mansfield just a little before noon. Lona was a little nervous-excited about walking down the aisle and it was super sweet. Doug’s daughter Zoe was there to help Lona put on the final touches while Lona’s son Kelby was getting ready to stand up next to Doug as his best man.
The ceremony was in the Chapel of the church they both attend. When I asked Lona + Doug what was their favorite moment of the entire day, they both said, the moment that Zoe and Lona were walking toward Doug down the aisle and when Lona + Doug put together their unity cross together. I thought this was such a perfect response of love, faith, and family. This is such a special day for all four of them!
Congratulations to Lona + Doug and to Zoe and Kelby! I’m so excited about your future together!
