CAROLINE + CHARLIE | Downtown Waco Engagement

We first met Caroline + Charlie via ZOOM at the end of April in the middle of all the craziness! They were so much fun to talk to and can’t help but make you smile! So can you imagine how they were in person at our shoot?! Much fun to be had!!

They both attend Baylor and Charlie is just graduated! (Yay Charlie! Congrats!!) When they mentioned at our meeting that they were interested in doing a tour of Waco engagement session, we were pumped! First off, Philip’s Mom and Step Dad live in Robinson which is a hop skip and a jump from Waco so we were able to spend the day with them before our shoot. It was perfect!

I’ve never shot in Waco and it is always refreshing to see new things! We started at Baylor, then headed to the suspension bridge, toured downtown and ended at the courthouse! It really was a tour of Waco! Caroline + Charlie are so sweet together, Philip and I smiled as we were all walking toward the bridge and Caroline + Charlie grabbed each other’s hand and practically skipped to the entrance. Of course you know I grabbed a shot! 🙂

We can not wait to see these two again and are so excited to share our Baylor University, downtown Waco visit with you!

HOW DID YOU GUYS MEET?
We met at the same residential college on Baylor’s campus during my freshman year and his sophomore year. We met playing a game called Paranoia which is basically like a two week long game of mafia where everyone is trying to eliminate someone else with either a sock or spoon. Charlie and I are both strongly competitive and he gave me some help and we both made it to the final people in the game.

THE PROPOSAL STORY
Charlie very gracefully went with the punches of COVID-19 as all of his plans got messed up, but he still decided to keep the same weekend that he had originally plan, but just have one of his friends and my aunt and uncle help out. We got dinner before to go and ate it in the park. He then walked me over to a patch of blue bonnets and proposed to me! It was perfect!

THE PERFECT DATE NIGHT
For me, dinner and a movie is probably my ideal date night! Charlie loves being outdoors and history so probably going to Dinosaur Valley Park for him!
