Emily + Jake | Rockwall Manor Elegant Texas Wedding

I have always heard that rain on your wedding day is good luck! I know this to be the case for Emily + Jake! It was raining like cats and dogs for most of the day!

Emily and her Bride Tribe were in full swing of hair and makeup at her parents home in Garland when I arrived. I LOVE it when I walk into a room and I’m greeted with lots of hellos and smiles! You know it’s going to be a fabulous day when you feel like you are one of the girls! And this team of makeup and hair artists was on point! Not only did they do an amazing job, they had a schedule and were right on time!

When we arrived at the venue, the girls walked into the bridal suite to find that there were Smirnoff ICE hidden throughout the room! Don’t worry, they had a plan to ICE Jake a little bit later. : ) (Feel free to scroll down to see what I’m talking about!)

The rain was on our side and decided to give us a little break long enough to take a few bridesmaid and groomsmen portraits outside. Our umbrellas were standing by so there were no surprises! Emily + Jake shared a private prayer just before the ceremony, holding hands without sneaking a peek at each other from either side of the bridal suite. I can imagine how hard it was to not just run in and hold one another! Luckily, they wouldn’t have to wait long before being face to face in front of all of their friends and family.

The ceremony was beautiful and so are they! The reception was filled with laughs, dancing, and …. getting iced! But it was no match for Jake! Haha! This was one reception that everyone will remember! There were so many family and friends that came together to welcome them as one. At the end of the night, the couple spent one last dance together before running down a cloud of bubbles!
