We met with Hannah + Christopher at Penn Farm in Cedar Hill State Park at the beginning of the week for their engagement session. They each had a bit of a journey to get into the metroplex but all was well! The threat of severe weather had us on the edge of our seats on making a decision on whether or not we would need to reschedule. The storms were due to roll in around 6pm (which is what time we were supposed to start our session). But since they were both traveling from out of town, we knew that this day was the best day to get together. Luckily, we decided to start our session much earlier than normal. This allowed us so much time for the shoot as well as time to get on the road before the storm rolled in.
Finding a place with bluebonnets was a huge plus for this sweet couple! The Penn Farm area in Cedar Hill State Park is always a great choice for this! Although there weren’t as many as their normally is, we found the perfect patch! I couldn’t believe how large these blooms were!
And you have to see the bunny that Hannah brought! It is actually a build a bear that Christopher and Hannah made together on their first date! I love this that it’s so special to them! I’m sure it is something they will treasure for many more years!
We made it through our whole session with just a few rain drops and as we were driving out of the park, you could see the crazy clouds making their way in. Perfect! I love it when a plan comes together! Check out a few of our favorites!
