KYLEE + MASON | Dallas Botanical Garden Engagement

What a wonderful time we had with these two! And the Dallas Arboretum never disappoints! There is always new things to see every time we visit! Even stumbled upon a new section I hadn’t seen before. I didn’t think that was possible. : )

This actually wasn’t the first time we have met Mason. We had the honor of photographing his sister Megan’s wedding June of last year! Crazy that it was just a little over a year ago and now we get to help him celebrate his soon to be marriage to Kylee! I can not tell you how excited I am to see everyone again! They have the sweetest family! And now getting to meet Kylee in person, she is a perfect match for Mason. Her smile can brighten any room! You’ll see what I mean in just a minute!

Visiting the Arboretum on a Sunday means there is always a wedding or two but on this day, we seem to have stumbled upon 5 weddings! They were everywhere! And we even got to see a groom getting ready for his first look. Sweet!

As we were taking our last few images as our session was coming to an end, I showed them a quick image on the back of my camera. Watching Kylee light up and get excited and say how much she loves photos, that sent me soaring! Then to top it all off, Mason get just as pumped by saying how real this makes it feel. We could not be more excited for Kylee + Mason! Take a look and wish them your biggest congratulations!

HOW DID YOU GUYS MEET?
Mason and I met through my little brother. Mason is a football coach and was training him for quarterback. I would always have to go pick my brother up from training and we met that way.

HOW DID HE PROPOSE?
Mason contacted my neighbor who owns a boutique and I sometimes model for her whenever she has new clothes. So she told me and my best friend she needed us to model some “new clothes” for her. I was told it would be a best friend style shoot but when we got there there was a picnic set up with flowers. She told me to turn around while she took pictures and Mason came up behind me and then I turned around and he got on his knee and popped the question!!
