LEAH + CONNOR | A Hidden Waters Waxahachie Wedding

We are so thankful that we get to be a part of so many people’s lives. It is such a wonderful experience to be a part of such an important day. Our wedding day journey with Leah + Connor was a short one since the first time we met them was just a month ago. But it feels like so much longer. We love this couple!

The Texas humidity is so freakin real. I often wonder why on earth do we live here?! Haha! The heat index on this wedding day was 106. Hello Texas Summer! Thank goodness for Hidden Waters beautiful tall trees that bring so much cooler air! It allows brides (like me!) to have their dream outdoor ceremony in August!

When we arrived, everyone was so calm and collected AND on time. Actually like 15 minutes ahead of schedule! A bride after my own heart! Leah + Connor’s first look was just outside the front doors. Connor did his best to hold back tears. Love all the emotion these two share.

The ceremony was lovely! The harpist played while the wedding party entered. Such a beautiful sound. After the I do’s it was off for more portraits! Love having two separate portrait times with our couples. Not only does it give them lots of options, but the lighting can be so different from hour to hour. Each hour has it’s beauty.

So I have to mention how talented Leah is. She actually made all the cheesecakes for her cheesecake bar! Of course I had to try it since I LOVE cheesecake. Oh. My. Gosh. Philip is lucky that I saved a bit of mine for him. Ha! It was so freakin delicious! Thought about holding their photos hostage for a cheesecake. Just kidding!

What a wonderful day this was. Leah + Connor are so wonderfully happy together. And who knew that a nudge from her mother to introduce herself to him, would bring them together for a lifetime.
