Mari + Nathan were married at the Weston Gardens in Fort Worth. It was a little chilly at first but the sun came out just in time for the ceremony. Mari was hiding out in her chariot with some of her family members until it was time to walk down the aisle. She looked so lovely in her gown all cozied up in the back of the SUV. Before I spoke with Mari, Nathan came straight over to find us. We got to take a few shots of him before the ceremony. He was all smiles and ready to meet his Bride down the aisle.
Weston Gardens has one of the most well-kept gardens I’ve seen. It was my first time visiting there and I’ll tell you it won’t be the last. What a beautiful place! The ceremony was held in a little hidden space that had a beautiful archway made of greenery. The stone wall with a fountain was a perfect touch into this secret garden space. Most of their wedding guests were family and the friends they do have might as well be. What a wonderful group of people.
Her father walked her down the aisle and gave her away. After the ido’s and first kiss, they shared a private moment outside of the ceremony space. It is always one of my favorite parts of the wedding day. It is a moment when they look at each other and realize that all the time they have shared together has led to this moment.
Everyone was anxiously awaiting for Mari + Nathan to walk over to the stone ship that is just behind the ceremony site. Nathan led his wife on a very unique style bride over to the stone ship. After our time there, we headed back to take family formals then it was time for our portrait session at the gardens. We strolled around, talked, and laughed. Right as we were wrapping up, we felt a rain drop. I took two more quick snaps, then the heavens dropped! Luckily the rain didn’t last too long. I’ve heard it is good luck!
The reception was held at Nathan’s parents home in Grand Prairie. Nathan + Mari are so loved. Their friends and family filled up the home with hugs, laughter, and joy. It really was lovely to see. It’s crazy because it was the first time we met the happy couple and it felt like we had known each other for years. Their family welcomed us into their home and were so thoughtful. We truly are lucky to be able to work with such wonderful people.
Happy almost one week anniversary Nathan + Mari! We are so glad that you found each other and wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!
