AMANDA + AUSTIN | Highland Park Engagement

A little dress shopping then it was time for their engagement session! Amanda + Austin are getting married in less then a month in Arizona and I am SO excited we were able to get together for their engagement session while they were in Dallas! Amanda had a day dress shopping with a friend then met with us just a bit after!

As you know, the humidity in Texas is not something you can forget. It is so crazy hot right now! I don’t think I will ever get used to it! You think I would be being born and raised in Texas. I know the temperature can get high in Arizona so we had to ask Amanda + Austin how hot does it feel on those 100 degree days! They are so lucky that the humidity doesn’t quite get like this where they live! So So Lucky!!

Philip and I loved getting to know these two and we got to visit with Austin’s sister Heather Hall who is also a wonderful photographer! We will see these two again at the end of August in Arizona! CAN NOT wait!!

HOW DID YOU MEET?
In Biomechanics class at Baylor.

WHAT IS YOUR PROPOSAL STORY?
He planned a very elaborate day-long treasure hunt involving all my friends — started with lunch with my parents where a server at the restaurant brought my first clue, then I went from stop to stop with a different friend at each place, and my friends from out-of-town calling at specific times to give me clues to whatever riddle I had to solve to get to the next spot. I got a massage, had a new white dress hanging in the room afterwards, then had hair and make appointments. Then met all the friends back in a secret back room of a cool bar in downtown Scottsdale and they all took me to the Botanical Gardens where my parents were waiting at the entrance to walk me back to Austin and he proposed right before sunset in front of a cacti-filled mountain landscape. He hired a photographer and we had a quick engagement photo session afterwards. We went back to the same bar after that where a bunch of our friends were waiting to celebrate. — Check out constructedadventures.com — Chris was amazing and helped Austin with all the logistics planning, and has now become our friend.

Austin is passionate about designing products that people love — he quit his job the week before we got engaged to pursue a new business venture with his own product.

Amanda loves playing any board game. I think what she enjoys most about them is the quality time spent with friends and family while playing.
