KELLI + SHANE MARRIED

Happy one week anniversary Kelli + Shane!  It still feels like Kelli and I just met to discuss her wedding plans and now she’s celebrating her first week of marriage.

Everything about this rustic wedding, I loved.  The flowers, which the bride arranged herself, are gorgeous.  They are everything that fall represents with the sunflowers and mix of colors.  What a clever idea to have the bouquets as the centerpieces.  The cake tree, the ceremony site surrounded by nature, the wrap around porch on the cabin, the twinkle lights illuminating the dance floor, a huge bonfire and romantic fireworks…just so many things to love.  Kelli’s mom & dad put a lot of work and love into making this happen for their daughter and not to mention her sister, friends, family, and Kelli and Shane.  What an awesome family they have!

Kelli + Shane were married on her parents property in Buffalo, TX.  Her father built the cabin himself and they take trips to spend time with family and go hunting.  Kelli + Shane both have a passion for hunting and go often together.  Shane told me that some of her trophies are on the wall in the cabin.

I was ecstatic when I heard they wanted to spend a little time after the ceremony to take pictures with just the two of them.  I feel this is so important to have portraits of just the bride and groom because it is the reason for the celebration.  The love and union of two people.  It worked out perfectly with the timing and sun.  Their ceremony was at 3pm so we were walking by 4pm.  It was such a beautiful November day that was a little cool but not too cold.  Their property was the perfect location.  I just can’t get over all the beautiful landscapes their property offers.  So serine.

Let’s talk cake.  Kelli’s sister Kira made the brides cake and don’t they look delicious? Right before the bride and groom were about to cut their cakes,  Kelli said, “oh this is about to go down”.  Or something to that affect.  Ha!  They both knew before hand that some cake was about to get smashed.  But look how sweet they both are to help clean each other up.  Love it!

What a perfect wedding for a very deserving couple.  I am so happy for the two of you.  I wish you all the best and I hope to see you two again soon.
