KIRA + LARRY MARRIED

It was my fourth time to visit the Winding Brooks Venue in Ennis and I fall in love with it more each time I go.  It’s tucked away and filled with beautiful landscaping and an amazing view!  The sunsets are to die for!

When we arrived, everyone was putting the final touches to the cabin where the reception was being held.  The centerpieces doubled as the bridal and bridesmaids bouquets.  Each place setting had a mason jar and champagne glasses for the toasts.  The table runners, candle holders, drapes, and vases filled the room with turquoise giving this reception such a bright and airy feel.  My fav!  A projector was running pictures of the bride and groom from when they were babies to the present.  Everything was just wonderful!  The ceremony location, which is right next to the cabin, was lined with white chairs and wooden signs with 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 all along each row.  Kira said it was a team effort to make each sign.  Larry made the wood plaques and she painted the words on.  So sweet!  I imagine these will hold a place somewhere in the home they will share.  Overlooking the alter, the trees providing the shade move with the breeze and create a sparkle when the sun shines through.  Feels magical!

Kelli, Kira’s twin sister, was her makeup artist for the day!  What are sisters for right?!  Blanca with Tranquility Salon & Spa was working on the gorgeous curls in Kira’s hair.  While the girls were still getting ready, we took some time with the guys for a few portraits outside.  They were a lot of fun and you can tell that they were all very excited for their friend to be getting married.

Kira was running right on time and was ready to start the wedding early!  She couldn’t wait to see Larry and to become his wife.  After a few pictures, a prayer, and hugs, it was time to start the ceremony.  When Kira made her way toward her fiance, they shared a sweet glance and Larry was overcome with emotions.  They love each other so much!  During the ceremony, led by Larry’s father Fred and brother Ryan, they poured sand into a keepsake box to symbolize their coming together as one.  They held each other when they were finished then headed back for their rings and their first kiss as Mr. and Mrs. Buck.

The reception was filled with family and friends and it was a full house!  Dinner was served and everyone had their fill of the brisket & sides that a family friend, Ike Eisenbach, smoked and Larry’s mom, Becky, made for the occasion!  Shortly after, Kira + Larry cut their cake and to Kira’s surprise, the chanting from the crowd to shove cake in each others faces worked.  Larry went for it and so did she!  Larry was lucky that her sister was her make up artist otherwise, he might have been in trouble.  Haha!  Champagne was poured, toasts were given and first dances were had.  It was a night of laughter, love, and family.

They ended the night with a sparkler exit and a kiss.  Heading off to their honeymoon in Cancun the next morning, they were saying their goodbyes with waves and headed to their getaway truck.  Crazy that it all started with a blind date set up by Larry’s sister-in-law… and as they say, the rest is history!
